A couple buddies and I are going out there for the weekend and are hoping to catch some fish. We will be from the bank pretty close to 287 at a lake house. I know it is supposed to rain this weekend but we will be on a dock so there will be a roof over our head. Plus getting wet wouldn't scare us off. We have plenty of shad, and will be catching fresh when we get there. Wouldn't mind some live baits for flatheads either.
Anyways, just curious as to how the fishing has been lately.

Yeah, I have kept up with that. We are just gonna give it a shot and see what happens. We have never had bad luck. I was just seeing if anybody had any recent news.

My sister lives on RC and I fish it just about every weekend. Channel Cat are still great in the shallows. Depends on the depth at the dock you are fishing. Hers is a very shallow cove and she is catching fish all through the day. If you have a little deeper water at your dock you should be able to hit some Blues. Shes always using minnows which will catch either one. If you can net some shad it will be even better. Don't worry, you should catch plenty of fish.

They are letting out 11K CFS again. You should probably check out Tiny's site. I think he has got a page or two on lakes with current.

Well I just missed a massive gar. Peeled drag and swam across 10 lines. Was a good fight while it lasted but the line popped right above the hook. It was an exciting couple minutes.

Final report: the bite was very consistent. Caught plenty of eaters, mostly on cut shad. I also managed to catch one flathead that weighed 24 pounds. Might get a line wet for a little bit longer before we leave, but have some cleaning up to do.
