Went out this afternoon. 4.55 feet too high and climbing.
Picnic tables underwater, pets on leash sign almost under etc.
But for the 1st time ever. The 2 concrete fishing docks on each side of the lake are underwater.
Not barely but very underwater.
Saw people fishing from the side of the road because the water was up to the road in places.
Small catfish swimming in the grass in the flooded areas.

It's worse this morning. The lake is now 8 feet high. Ch.5 has a good video of Lynn Creek and the State Park. View it here.

The flood gates have been open for several weeks, but today they are closed. Does anyone know why they closed the gates and allowed the lake to flood? I assume they are protecting downstream.

The lake is at 530. The spillway is at 541. I cannot imagine it will ever get that high.

Down stream is actually North.

Not too sure on how much excess water Mountain Creek can handle.

Also that water would end up in the Trinity (via MC) eventually. And that river is pretty full from what I've last heard.
