Great stuff
I am there 7/20-7/26

I will throw out some reports real time and a synopsis
post trip.

I too am a basser with a fly rod that sees the water about
once a year. I will need really hungry trout to attack my
presentations!

Will report back in July

Tommy

Getting fired up. 1 week out from heading to Colorado.

Called Arkanglers to get some pre-trip scoop.

They said that the biggest mistake anglers are making now is casting
to middle of creek/river. Said they are biting near shore on the sides.

Quick question to anyone with an opinion. What is the best knot for me
to learn quick that is easy to remember and execute in the middle of the
water for tying fly to tippet and for attaching leader material to leader?

Ready to go!

I will fire off some reports next week.

Thanks for any input anyone has.

Tommy

I live here and always use the cinch or blood knot for flys and leader... Thru hookeye --5 twists--thru line hole above hookeye-- wet and cinch.. Clip the tag end short as these fish sre educated and can be leader shy..
