We got a late start due to my son's tee ball game yesterday. 3 of my kids and myself took our boat to Lake Ray Hubbard and picked up a good friend along the way. It was nearly noon when we hit the water after launching from the SH 66 ramp on the Rockwall side of the lake. We tried to throw a net for some live shad under the bridges with no luck. We went ahead and moved up into the creek area and fished with some live minnows for the kids and lures for the adults (road runners and rattle traps). Everyone caught fish. We caught about 25 fish and took 20 fish home. The day's catch included 17 good sized White Bass, 2 catfish (1 blue & 1 channel cat), and my daughter caught a nice crappie. The return trip to the ramp was a bit rough due to the wind, but it was well worth it. We could have had a monster day if we went out early. I am not complaining though. i will take a day like this anytime.

Nice report ZT1. What is the water color up there, I imagine it is pretty off color.

The water was kind of murky looking due to all the runoff and windy conditions in the main body or the lake, but up in the creeks it looked much more clear despite the overcast and windy conditions. The sun did poke out some. I credit my friend for putting us on the fish. He knew where to go. Thanks guys.

Can you run from that 66 bridge north or is it best to idle.

There are a lot of trees and stumps. I went at idle through those parts. Between the bridge and the trees you can open it up for a bit.
