I want to share with everyone my experience today at Bass Pro Grapevine and visiting with Rob. I took my less than 4 week old HDS 12 gen 3 in to see about a couple of things. My unit had on a few occasions locked up so I wanted to check to make sure I had the up-to-date SW. All I can say is WOW!!! Rob worked with my unit checking several things and giving me an education. Bill Plummer of Bass Pro was listening in to our discussion and became concerned that something else might be going on. To make a long story short, Bill was concerned that my unit wasn't operating correctly and promptly offered to replace it on the spot!!!! Bill Plummer and Rob Jasper took amazing care of me and replaced my unit as well as moving my personal information including waypoints to the new unit. I was there about 45 minutes and walked out with a new unit and when I walked in I wasn't even thinking about a new unit. That is why I always try and shop and Bass Pro and really appreciate the team Lowrance has in place to support the fisherman. Great job guys!!!

Were the lowrance guys there or was it bass pro employees? Back in 1999 when I worked at the marine counter, our lowrance guys would stop in and do wonderful things for the customers.

Rob works for lowarnce and I don't know about the other gentlemen. Rob know's his lowarnce stuff and he's okay at fishing also.. Rob started our bass club back in the day.

Rob was there from Lowrance and Bill Plummer was there from Bass Pro. They worked together to help resolve my situation and they were quick to suggest that they replace my unit because it wasn't moving as quickly through the screens as they thought it should. The support and assistance from both of them were amazing and far exceeded my expectations!!!

I've done a ton of shopping at BPS through the years. Customer service is as good as it gets. Glad they got you taken care of!

I like BPS, but I know some folks don't care for the big box stores. I haven't really shopped the smaller stores (for no particular reason other than I haven't). I usually talk to the same guy behind the reel counter (forget his name). Helpful and patient. Good selection and often reasonably priced.

That's funny, I had a fellow TFFer that worked at the Rockwall one argue with me until he was blue in the face about one until I finally got tired of arguing with him and took his word since he was "the expert" after all... Long story short I was right, he was wrong and I had to make and additional 140 mile round trip to get what I wanted originally with nothing more than a promise that he would take me out one day on his guide service. Do I even need to tell you that hasn't happened yet either?
