 Which lakes are best for bluegill?

Never been bluegill fishing but after seeing some posts about how good they taste I can't wait to try for myself.
Can I catch them in lewisville, grapevine or can I catch them in just about every lake? Thanks

Bluegill are just about in any Texas water body.  Right now they are active and some are sitting on beds.(Spawning).  During the summer months the gills love staying by structure such as docks,overhanging tree limbs,sunken timber,and large rocks. Fish boat slips and dock edges. Also fish by trees. I love using worms (night crawlers). Ultra light rod and reel,six pound test line,size six cricket hook with a size five shot and your are ready to go.  Gills are a very aggressive fish and you will know pretty fast if they are in the area.  Good luck and let us know how you do.  Side Note: Sunken brush piles and drop off ledges in 10 to 15 feet of water are also great places to look for gills.

Lake Fairfield used to have some moster gill's. Haven't been in a few years. When i lived in Teague in the 70's, I could go to Fairfield, boat or bank and catch a cooler full of bluegill. Start them on bits of shrimp then switch to a little strip of white pork rind.
Snowflakes and entitled brats will be the doom of America!

Yes, there are plenty of gills in Lake Lewisville, and probably Grapevine. These were caught out of Lewisville a few years ago....
