Anybody know if they'll open this ramp back up since lake is filling up? I bet it looks like a jungle there, but it was free and decent catfishing on that upper end 5 years ago

You'd probably have a hard time launching there at this point due to the vegetation if they have opened the ramp.

Made a bait run for perch. The shad are everywhere. No perch to be found.

And yes Newark is open! But you can't launch a toon cause they SD it high and it's a gradual grade ramp not steep just long and flat but most other boats should be fine.

Drove around to Lakeview. ... that is the top of the wall barley poking up in the background. Yeah the walls that shield the docks is a most covered. Caught some great shad and wanted to drop a few lines but quickly reminded by the floating trees going by me that I better not do any night fishing til she settles down a bit.

Holy cow! Looks like it has risen at least 4 feet since I was there Saturday AM.

That jetty would come as quite a shock if you didn't know to look for it.

It is almost like they planned that lake to be low. It looks like it is flooding but it just barely past pool.

This is good news, and gives one more option of places to go. I wouldn't drive to Eagle Mountain because I didn't want to pay $15 for launch. But i have a flat bottom, and always like this ramp because it was seldom crowded and it was right in the area I wanted to fish. Appreciate the photo and update. Surprised the vegetation isn't worse than it looks in photo. I took a pic a few years ago, and it was 10' tall as far as you could see across that upper end.

wonder how bad the west fork is clogged up just up the lake from that ramp, and if you could even run boat very far up it? There used to be some serious log jams on that thing, some I would clear, some I would cut with chainsaw, some I would just leave alone. And snakes, dang they were everywhere.

Vess if you get some of the blue shad pellets it will get rid of the foam in your tank. Just one cap full will work
