I finished my bream pattern today. I was following the color scheme of a video I watched on YouTube instead figuring it out myself. I had a scale pattern, but it's not visible after painting the vertical lines and shading the back. I'll do another one with my personal color scheme instead of someone else's and see if it turns out more to my liking.

Bought the whole iridescent set of createx off Amazon, you might check coast airbrush too they sell the sets aswell. I like just about every color in the set. I keep finding more and more uses for it.

I attempted a couple baits to practice blending my colors. Y'all make it look a lot easier than it actually is.

Nothing wrong with those, just something that takes some practice.

This one is almost identical to a spook I painted last fall. I posted the results.....a very large bass. Keep working on it you're doing great.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been having some clogging issues with my brush the last couple days. I have ruined a couple baits with an unexpected discharge of the brush. Do all of you thin your paints in their bottle or right before you paint with them? I'm such a cheapskate that I hate to dump out half a bottle of paint to add water to it so I just thin in a mixing cup before I use it. I guess I am not mixing it for long enough and a clump of paint clogs the brush.

tmed. reduce your paint a little more and try putting the reducer in the cup first then add the paint. that helps keeppure paint from getting in the barrel. no reason to waste half a bottle of paint. i bought a bunch of 3 oz bottles at walmart and hobby lobby that i use to premix the paints in that i use most often. no waste.

Good advice.. stir the mix up real well....if its clogging you may need more thinner. Sometimes you have to use your fingertips to remove paint build up on the tip....carefully.

to get the tip dry off the needle i use a q-tip with alcohol on it. i just roll the q-tip on top.bottom and sides of the needle and it cleans it up great. and the q-tip is soft so no danger of messing up the tip.

I've been using q-tips to scrub the inside of the cup and then to clean the tip. I clean the airbrush very well in between colors. I just had an issue because I was not mixing my paint enough when thinning. It probably doesn't help that I catch a call at work and might not get back to my station for several hours while the paint is settling and drying.
