Serious question.

I have never been carp fishing in my life. Caught a few by accident but never targeted them at all.

To me a good day Sandbass fishing is 30+ fish.
Good day Bass fishing is 10+ fish.
Good day Hybrid fishing is 8+ fish.
Good day Crappie fishing is 10+ keepers.
Good day Catfishing is 15+ keepers.
Those are just what I consider a good day. I realize others opinions may differ.

So do Carp fishermen get into a school and catch a hundred a day like Sandbass fishermen? Or are Carp harder to catch than it would seem? How many fish would you consider a good trip?

The right single fish can make for a very good day. I like numbers myself. 8 to 10 carp in the 5 to 15 pound range to me is a fun day. Others may fish for a couple of days working for the 30 plus pounder and have a great time doing that. Either way you do it, fishing itself makes for a good day.

I'm pretty much into numbers not so much size because of the expense and the travel time . Give me 10 fish in the 10 to 15 lb. range and i would be quite pleased . there are times when one fish would make my day tho . lol

P.B. Carp ....29 lbs .... P.B. Buffalo 34.4

If I dedicated 1 full day to just Carp fishing I would be going for nothing less than the state record. But if I caught a bunch of 20lb+ fish that would be fun too. lol...

For myself I would say going for size over numbers so only one good one was the ultimate day.Started out carp fishing with my son when he was young and if there was not numbers and quick our day was over, but as he grew older he really appreciated the time and effort into finding those big ones!Right now wish I had any carp on!
