 gps software to use with Lowrance Elite HDI

I have downloaded 'GPSBabel',and 'EasyGPS'. I am either too dumb or they do not support Elite 7 HDI waypoints. I want to reset my Elite 7 HDI to factory specs., but want to make sure I have saved my waypoints to SD. any help is appreciated.

When you export/save your GPS data to a memory card, they will be there until you delete them or loose the card.
No software has to be involved.
You can copy the data on the memory card to your computer as a backup for the backup.

When I go to 'Waypoints, Routes and trails', hi-light 'waypoints on top' it hi-lights one waypoint. I want to make sure I have all of my waypoints on the card. plus I would like to have the ability to look at waypoints on 'google earth' and delete or add from my computer.
