I am in the market for a boat. I really like the Blue Wave Pure 2200 & 2400 and I have determined that I want boat similar to the Pure Bay. What other makes of center console boats are out there that are similar to the Pure Bay. I have budget of $40k so I am looking at strictly used boats. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Haynie and Transport immediately come to mind. The real question is where will you be using your sled the most? That will guide you to a happy decision.

Lake Palestine and Port A. Bay Area. Would like to have the ability to run to some state water snapper spots on a calm day.

Yeah I'd look hard at a Tran XLR8 Haynie Bigfoot or Majek extreme.

Check out Pathfinder 2200 and 2400 series. Recently got a 2200 Tournament series and it's an amazing boat. Takes rough water great and fishes even better.
I can backlash toilet paper.

I ordered a Blue Wave Pure Bay 2200 - should get delivery in June. It is my first CC, so I can't give you comparison to other CC's. I took a tour of the Blue Wave factory about 2 weeks ago. I think I'll be happy with the boat. Also Blue Wave Pure Bay 2200 is the number 1 selling bay boat in Texas.

Thanks for the help. I am still doing some research, but I really like Blue Waves and the Everglades 223 CC.

Have you looked at Carolina skiff DLV and sea chaser lines?
They have a lot of capability for a lot less price than some other lines. They are not as flashy tho.

all those brands mentioned are good boats, but it seems you could find a great used boat for quite a bit less although it would take a little leg work good luck and enjoy!

I can appreciate all the lake guys offering up their personal experience. Fishing the lower bays is a different critter. Being able to run and get out of a shallow flat is seriously challenged in a deep v Kenner type hull. Plowing mud for a half mile to find two feet of water gets old really quick. If the gentleman had said Galveston instead of port a then run something big and deep.
Where you're using your toy is paramount to your decision.
