Long story short I repowered with a new to me motor and had them do the install since they are a Ranger dealer and I keep my boat at Fork. I changed engine brands so it was a detailed job. They were awesome to deal with and pricing was less than other quotes I got. They also did an amazing job on the install in regards to rigging. Its clean and looks like the way the brand new boats are coming out like. They got the boat in and out fast and kept me informed along the way. Had a couple of small bugs to work out but they handled all of it with a smile and lots of patience. They also stored my old motor until the buyer came and picked it up. Without going into details they went way above and beyond for me.
I have no ties to DMS except as a paying customer. I actually bought the boat elsewhere but they treat me like I just bought a brand new rig. Fred, Ben, Kathleen, Mark and Michael are all top notch. Its a good feeling having them as an option when I need work done on my boat.
Just wanted to thank them and give some of you needing work done another option. We are blessed to have so many good shops in the DFW/Fork area. DMS is one of the best I have used.

Cool, I've heard nothing but good things about them. Do they still have the Royse City location down by Southern Junction on 276?

Mark give us some details. You had a rude that you liked if I'm not mistaken . What did you change for? What motor did you get? I'm asking because I am going to have to do this down the road.

Where are they? Do they sell new boats? I ordered a custom new boat and I keep getting calls pushing my delivery date back. Months. Not weeks. Now I am told mid-August!!! I was given an opt-out chance over the next few days. Was gonna look at differen options over the weekend. Budget is around $65k. Want a 20-21ft w/250. Fortrex three graphs(very particular here), and tandem axle trailer with dual brakes(must). And I want it PERFECT. dual poles, Hamby, hotfoot, LEDs, etc. looking at Rangers and Legends. Custom colors is holding me back right now.

Loved the Etec. Unfortunately I cratered the lower unit on a long run. A new one is not cheap and was hesitant to put $6000 or so into a motor with a ton of hours that was probably only worth about that if it was running right. I found a Pro XS that was a couple of years old in great shaope. Drove to TN and got it and DMS installed it the next day. Since all my gauges were set up for the Etec it took a bit more work and planning to do the swap. I like the Merc a lot but I admit I miss the torque and the quietness of that Etec 250HO. All in all it was probably one of the top 3 best motors I have owned. I ran it hard and ran it a lot. Until this lower unit I never had any issues with it.
