Fished about 2hrs this afternoon till the storm ran me off the water. Despite the lake being very crowded everyone was courteous and laid back. The bites I got came midlake pushing way back in the backs of the little coves and pockets. I mean as far back as you can cast. Bites came on a Reaction Innovations Trixie Shark in pearl blue, hollow body frogs in natural frog pattern and on a homemade sexy shad swim jig with a small sexy shad swimbait on it. Saw a few small bed fish that were keeper sized but I did not fool with them. You really need the potato grass to get the frog bite. Make multiple casts and fish the frogs a bit slower than you normally would. They are there and just a bit leery from all the pressure. I cannot stress enough getting way back in these areas and fishing water that others are passing up. Don't just make the easy casts either. Get a bait in the hard to reach spots and it will pay off.

Have fun this weekend and be safe.

Its just what I call it.Always heard it called that so it stuck. Its the green leafy stuff way up shallow. You rarely see it deeper than 2-3'. It does not mat over. Its a sort of pickerel weed but without the blooms.
