Followed a guy on 175 with a bass buster on the back of his pickup truck to the lake ...he was eager to get there and so was I. He turned right into the public ramp on 334 and I headed south to Caney. There is no way to safely fish 334 in that north winds ...

Got to Caney and there were 3 trailers in the parking lot with one about to leave. Water was muddy and high ...no one was fishing the bridge hmmm Fished the bridge for 30-40 minutes without a bite. Shot docks ...nothing. Went to the other 198 bridge to scan for fish but they were mostly scattered. I found a few and ended up catching 4 keepers & many, many 3-4" fish.

Ran to the main lake where the water was clearer and fish brush piles in 14-21' ...I stopped and took this after photo ...

Fishing wasn't fast but it was steady ...and fish wanted the jig still. Nothing big, mostly 10-12' fish ...excellent for the frying pan grin

A little eerie being on the lake by yourself ...
