only place i can vouch for is the Texas City Dyke and i'm not real sure about it. we haven't crabbed in years.if you could get permission the do it on one of the shrimp boat docks, you'd probably do good. they're pretty crappy about letting folks on their docks anymore, cause of liabilities. a couple years ago i asked to fish the dock behind Eagle Point Marina and they wouldn't let me. kinda crazy, cause the week before i was tied up to the dock and while buying bait i fished as long as i wanted.

When I was younger we crabbed in clear lake. Priceless pics!!!!!

I've never tried it myself, but I've heard that Stahlman Park in Surfside has a pier built specifically for crabbing.
