i am headed out to Grapevine this weekend and wondered if folks might share some tips and tricks on the largemouth action.

It's 8' high right now I believe. They are extremely scattered right now and hard to catch. I'd go somewhere with more stable water conditions. There's a tournament there Saturday, I'd be surprised if it took much to win. Gonna be a challenge for sure.

was out there Saturday bass are very scattered but thy are in the creeks try black popper in the morning and if it is very overcast you can fish it all day. i also had some bass that exploded on buzz baits in the back of the creeks

and watch out the moccasins are out in force!!!!!! bolt

It already came up another foot since yesterday. Going to be tough out there. All I caught was sand bass and I was out there all day Monday. Watch out for floaters, saw some that would ruin your day

i cant believe the lake has come from almost 13 feet low to almost 9 feet high. sure has jacked everything up for a little bit but ive managed to catch a few

I think more water is coming in than going out at 600cfs. It did this same thing back in 2007. It went from 13' low in 2006 to 13' high in 2007. When it flooded before they let you use one side of the road to park at Katie's Woods, but consider it unusable on the weekends because you don't want to launch behind 10 pleasure boaters that think it is a one lane ramp and take 20 minutes a piece to launch their boat. You really know you are in trouble when you see them waist deep trying to push their 3000# boat on the trailer.
