Looking to buy 4-8 rods to try and learn this slow trolling technique mainly looking for some rods that won't break the bank cause I mainly fish structure vertical jigging and don't know how well I'll like the spider rigging any info would be great

See I use the 8' cork handle pro anglers for vertical jigging and the 4' 6" for shooting docks i considered getting pro anglers for the job but I didn't know if there was a more budget friendly route since that's all they would be used for is the slow trolling

If you're gona slow troll in shallow water I'd get 12 or 14 fters. If you're gona fish deep water in winter the 10 fters will work but the 12s help cover a little more territory. The ProAnglers are still the best value for price. Ed has some 12 ft trolling rods but those are heavier and larger diameter than the other rods. You don't need those heavier rods for spider riggin. They are true trolling rods for pull/push crank baits.

I've fished with every trolling rod out there and hands down, Pro Angler rods are by far the best. Get 14 footers and force yourself to use them until you get comfortable--you won't be sorry.

I've got several 11 and 12 foot B&M Westpoint trolling/jigging rods. New and will sell for $20 each.

Proangler! Stout rod. Great feel. Plus you can buy replacement tips if you should break one. I like to use the 10, 9 and 8. Then use the same rods for my brushpile and timber fishing.

A rod you have confidence in that you can detect the lightest disturbance and depending on your setup I like various lengths to maintain separation from one bait to the other. The key is your confidence.
