I've got a spot that the only time it's any good is when everything else is too flooded to fish so I thought I'd head straight there after work. I love when they're in there because it's like no way I've ever fished before. It's a moving creek off the Deep Fork river here in Oklahoma. Just using a 12' jig pole with 1.5 ft of line and a black/chartreuse jig. I went Saturday but it was still way too flooded to do any good money caught 2 small ones. When I went back yesterday I noticed it had dropped about 6' or so and was prime. I fished the first little whole below some Rapids. I stayed out of the main current and worked my jig slowly along with the back current. If I went all the way from left to right without getting bit, something was wrong. They were barely nibbling on it so I missed a few. But they were STACKED in this little pool, robably caught 60-70 but 90% of them were small! Had a blast and got my thumbs tore up!

Here's a pic comparing Saturday vs yesterday

First fish I caught as soon as the jig hit the water. I thought it was game on but little did I know I would have to sort through 15 small ones for a keeper!

The biggun!

Loved the color of this one. A little small though

What my 2 main spots looks like

Final results

I put mine in a ziplock with Zattarain's (sp) Creole Mustard, remove mustard coated filet from bag, then coat with Louisiana Fish Fry in the blue bag. It's good that way for sure.
