Hi everyone, I've been posting on here a lot trying to learn from you guys. I'm a 23 year old man who loves the outdoors. Raised on a ranch and always been a huge hunter. Unfortunately I can't hunt much anymore so two years ago I bought myself a nice little new bass tracker and picked up bass fishing for a hobby. I would really like to meet someone with lots of experience around DFW and learn from them. I'm super easy to get along with, very respectful, and really handy to have around (sorry if that sounds arrogant but I'm just being honest). I have good equipment, a good job, can buy gas, have a nice 2011 chevy 2500 4wd pickup so I can save you lots of money towing!. We can even take my boat (Bass Tracker 175 w/ 40 hp Merc). I just want to learn from someone. Damn sure not looking to mooch off anyone and I'm not going to be the guy in the back of the boat constantly getting snagged and missing fish. I'll cut a lure off rather than ask you to turn around to get my bait back. It would mean a lot to find an older guy with some experience on some of the lakes around here that wouldn't mind helping a young fella out. I also love any other type of fishing so if you like catching whites or stripers I'm in. Just reply or shoot me a message if you want to fish sometime. I love learning.

P.S. I am a musician so if you like country music we are sure to get along. I write songs and travel quite a bit playing little shows in Texas and sometimes California.

Anything in particular you would like to learn? Species, electronics, types of tackle? DFW lakes are pretty tough. Especially on weekends. I'm sure there are some folks around DFW that will/can help out. If you want to venture out east a little ways, I live in the Cedar Creek Lake area. I can help you out when my schedule permits.

Welcome to the TFF! are you in the weatherford area? With the lake being full I'm sure we are going to kick of our working man's Thursday night tournaments after we get a break from the rain. You're more than welcome to jump in the boat with me and pick my brain. I'm not the best but can catch a few bass.

I'd be happy to come out to Cedar Creek. All of the above! Don't get me wrong I'm a decent fisherman but I have a lot of room for improvement. Electronics would be nice along with getting better with finesse techniques and fishing jigs. Would you want to use my boat?

Hello Jigflippa,

I don't know if you would be interested or not, but if you wanted to come to a Mineral Wells Bass Club meeting and meet some of the folks in the club, we would be happy to answer any questions. We have a number of folks in the club that live in Weatherford and the surrounding areas. Some folks from Granbury, Bridgeport and of course here in MW. It is a great club and a great group of people, no pressure to join or even go fishing. We meet here in MW on the first Tuesday of the month, usually at El Paseo resturaunt, so next meeting will be on June 2nd. Next tournament is on Ray Roberts on June 6th. Take a look at our web site if you wish, link is in the bottom of my sig. We fish lakes around the area and always have a 2-day tourney in the spring out at fork. If I ever have a back seat open when I get the boat out, I will shoot you a pm. And welcome to the forum.

Robert

You'd be wise to take Pete's offer.

If you ever make it to lake Murray in southern Oklahoma and want to learn electronics and off shore fishing, swimbaits and drop shot, just let me know.
