Before they release enough water into Hubbard to fill it the rest of the way? Is there some strategic reason to hold the water in Lavon?

I get that they have to consider the entire Trinity. I was just wondering why they would let Lavon get over 4 feet high while Hubbard was still several inches below normal,

I heard it is closer to 3943cfm, but who really knows, I heard they round up to the closest prime number. Its still flushing the toilet and that's a good thing. Hubbard will be high before we know it.

I don't know where to look up CFM released, but Richland Chambers has 24 gates open, and Lewisville is 6'high and Ray Roberts is 7' high. Considering how this effects the Trinity downstream I hope they have good computers.

But strangely enough, the arm of the lake past the Rowlett Road bridge is still dry. I'm wondering if the work being done at Miller Rd bridge has affected water flow through there...? confused

probably because the Trinity downstream of Hubbard is so high. Once Hubbard hits full pool, it just spills over I believe. Lavon can handle the excess capacity, Hubbard and the Trinity cannot.

rh's max storage is only 90000 acre feet more than full pool, while lavon can hold 470000(total-921200) acre feet extra, or over 5 times as much. ll iis at 512000 at present so it is capable of much more. hope it doesn't get tested.

It was at 507 or 508 one time. I think it was somewhere between 1989 to 1991.
They will not let it get that high again . It was starting to go over the top of the flood gates. They had to open the gates more than they ever had before.
Letting it get to 502 or 503 is just doing it job as far as flood control
