Spent a three day weekend in East Texas exploring, and found a few hours to chase bluegills and sunfish at Greer Farm where we stayed. Had a great time, and found some nice ones!

Greer Farm is a terrific place to stay, if you wanna fish lakes anywhere near Daingerfield. Nice cabins right on the small lake the gills came out of. We didn't find any bigguns, but two weeks prior to our arrival a 6 year old kid caught a 10lb+ largemouth outa there, as well. Also has some good cats we were told, as well as crappie.

Awesome pictures. Looks like a super place to fish and relax. Are those ponds owned by a resort or come with a Cabin rental package?

Side Note: Again super fish and good times. woot

Laker, the four cabins sit right on the lake. It is private(gated), and exclusively for the use of those renting the cabins. Greer Farm owns the entire area... http://www.greerfarm.com/

Yep, Banker, it's a great place... and so close to other bodies of water. We explored Cypress, Bob Sandlin, Lake 'o the Pines and Caddo from there. Next time we plan to fish some of those, too.

Glad you all enjoyed the post... Truly nothing better than chasin' big gills on ultralights, unless it's fighting monster bowfins! grin
