First Yamaha in a long while... Is ring free the only option or just the most common? I was thinking this... http://www.schaefferoil.com/neutra-fuel-stabilizer.htmlBuddy of mine is a rep and I know they make top notch products. Been using them for a decade. Thanks

Ring free is more of a carbon deposit cleaner.

The new ring-free is carbon cleaner plus fuel additives for ethanol simaliar to Bio-Bor I have always used ring free and StaBil marine formula. If the 'new ring free' has the additive for ethanol, should I stop using the StaBil?

Neutra is a fuel stabilizer and it has a moisture suppressant as well as a mild detergent for carbon deposits. Think I'll go with that now that I have a better understanding of what Ring Free actually is.
Thanks

I've been running Ring Free in my Yamaha for over 10 years now and I fish virtually every weekend, 52 weeks a year. I'll keep paying whatever they charge for it. By the way, what's in that stuff that makes it so expensive? 24 karat gold flakes?

Just a captive consumer market. I am in the same 'boat' as you. At least the Yamalube hasn't been increasing in price as fast as the Ring Free.
