I know this is the wrong section, but hope to get some help... My alternator pulley has slight pitting, otherwise good. It's causing a VERY faint noise and I'm getting the powder residue. I hear Merc wants $750.00 for a new alternator... Supposedly they don't sell just the pulley... Does anyone know of an alternator/starter shop, that can get a pulley to match and install? Willing to ship or drive an hour or so.

Thanks!!

Would post what motor you have and the pulley needed in buy sell trade. Also look on eBay or boat trader for used parts. Have found several parts this way that saved me hundreds of dollars. Someone will have one somewhere, just have to look really hard. There are parts motors out there. Hope this helps
