Skeeter - did you catch a trailer? Depends if it was your trailer or not haha Hey CT.....how did you guys end up? I was the one that passed you in Poo creek. We boated one crappie off the tires, that's all. Left at 2pm. Tough tough! Wonder if anyone caught 'em out there today? Nothing but sand bass all day. We were marking some fish out deep later that afternoon but couldn't get them to bite

I remember fishing from the bank at Grapevine in 2006 and it was so low you were looking up at a 30 foot cliff at the twin coves campground. Then in 2007 I seem to remember that the trees on the island were completely under water. Drastic change. Then in 2008 I remember the fishing being the best I have seen in my 10 years of fishing that lake.

All of the fry that spawned this year will live thanks to the new cover and the lake should be full of fish next season. 2008 really was amazing out there. I caught my first smallie and my first spot in the same day in the same SPOT out there that year.

Has anyone been to the lake in the last day or so? Is the high water ramp at Katies Woods still open?

Yep, Katies Woods high water ramp open. You must back in deeper than normal to off load. A number of boats yesterday were having trouble backing off their trailers.

This is the view of McPherson slough from Snakey Lane as of yesterday afternoon, 5/10/15. Not very long ago, the stuff in the foreground was dry ground that you could walk out into. New to the lake. Where is this spot? Looks like a cool spot to throw around.

Murrel park ramp is defiantly closed unless your a kayak here's a shot from Thursday afternoon. You can see that the signs for the ramp are almost fully under water.

I went back out there last night to look around. Little Pete's parking lot is 80% under water. There was an 8' high fence around their dumpster and you can barely see the top of the fence. It's not 07 bad but another few inches of rain and we could be in that ballpark.

This photo insists on laying on its side but you get the point.
