The last few times I've been out I've only caught 1 bass. I think I've lost the touch. My confidence is way down right now and losing interest in going. I consider myself a decent fisherman and have caught a lot of good fish. Any thoughts on what I need to do to get it back?

I am probably known amongst my friends as 'Old One Fish' so you can't take that from me, its all I have. Unfortunately with all the rain, it is going to be tough to find somewhere else to fish unless you go to central Texas. I try different baits and presentation just to keep it interesting, can't hurt to try new things....

Got the yips... Its a mind thing... get back out there, the last bit with high muddy water has been tough around here.
You hear all this good stuff about fishing bushes and stuff in high water, I have seen 0 of it here... and the water color makes me want to cry...

Same here, been skunked a lot lately. Depressing since I only get a couple weekends a month (at the most) to get out there.
Like we always said in college, you just need to find you a "slump buster" and it will all turn around.

After an unsuccessful lake trip I'll head to my neighborhood pond that's good for at least 1/2 dozen 2 lbers. Yes, it's a pond, but it lessens the sting, is fun, & reminds me why I keep after this crazy obsession.

Been tough fishing this year all around. I have never talked to more people on the lake, at the ramp and seen on the message boards just confused as to where the fish are. Me being one of them!!

I've been all over east Texas and the fishing has been TOUGH for most. The late winter surge in March and the onslaught of fresh water has changed the game for most. Just wait, this summer and fall will be on fire!

Lots of new water, all it takes is one good area. A bad day on the lake is still better than a day at work or walking the bank with no luck. Hope you smash em soon!!

It my not be you. The very unusual weather with late cold and all the rain fish and fisherman are confused. Summer pattern on the way so chase some sand bass around. Look for birds to show the way. Your not alone...

Go fish with another angler (TFF member you don't know or a good guide) that is just as good or preferably better than you. It's very refreshing to learn from others. I need to do the same.
