THis will be my last weekend to get a chance to bass fish for about four months. SO I'm planning on going all out and looking to go to the hottest lake in the state right now. I want to run trot lines and jug lines at night and bass fish during the day. Where should I go? I would obviously say Fork but I'm worried we have had too much rain here in the DFW area and I've had limited success on rising lakes. Any guides that might have an opening with this short of notice? THanks!

Looking at the forecast for north and east Texas, it's going to be rain, rising water levels, and murky/muddy water for another week. Sunday is supposed to be heavy rain all central and north east Texas. I'd head south to find more stable water levels. Limestone would be my choice.

The forecast is changing a little. With this weather pattern, the least amount of rain is now predicted for the Sam Rayburn area.

Muddy or not, go to Lake Fork and fish deep.
Shallow at dawn.

I was hoping to make a trip this weekend as well. One of my only weekends I'm free. What lake is considered a constant level? Where are Ramps likely to stay open all weekend?

Power plant lakes (guessing), Centex lakes like Austin, Inks, LBJ (bass champs on Saturday) for starters

Town lake is always a constant level lake, just on the other side of the lake Austin dam
