All boat ramps are now closed on Ray Roberts Lake with the exception of Isle Du Bois. It is currently open, HOWEVER it is close to closure and the lake continues to rise. Additionally, it is flat/shallow around the courtesy dock and will be difficult to launch a trailered boat. There is a real possibility that IDB will close on Monday as well. I will update this thread when that occurs. Thanks.

Grapevine will probably be down to a couple of ramps by the end of the week. A couple of weeks ago I got ridiculed for saying the drought was over.

You obviously haven't looked at the condition of the west side of the State of Texas!
The drought is still very real .........

Because it's not....maybe if this was the Dallas ft worth fishing forum more would agree

Takes more than a few Dallas lakes being full to claim the drought is over. We actually got some rain out west and a few lakes are catching water but it's gonna take more than a few rains to even get headed in the right direction.

It doesn't change the fact that the drought in North Texas is over. If I could send the rain west I would.

I was referring to why you were ridiculed. Your title was "The Drought Is Over" on the Texas fishing forum, that's why you changed the title.

Full lakes still don't mean it's over either. Years of drought won't be fixed in a couple rounds of spring rain in certain places...

I know a lot more more about West Texas Lakes than you think...here is a post I made in 2012 about pumping from one pool to the other pool at Twin Buttes.

I have made several posts about OC Fisher, Meredith, Twin Buttes...etc. If you guys want to post about dry west conditions...please do. I will lend a sympathetic ear.

This is what just what North Texas does...drought...drought...drought...flood.

With all the ramps closed, does anyone know if you can still enter state parks to fish from the bank?
