I think I saw something about this not to long ago. but can't find it, sorry! What line do you suggest for top water? Better yet can you o straight braid? I have a brand new spool of 10# Suffix 832
Thanks for input!

Braid is fine... I like it for buzzbaits and frogs! But for yellow magic and walking style baits I like 15 big game!

65 lb braid all the way but that's just my honest opinion. I don't use mono because it stretches on those long hook sets that you need no stretch, and if a fish gets caught in the grass I want to be able to get them out.

I use superline for poppers and walkers. Yes, the Yellow Magic too.

Braids will allow for better walking IMO. Tie a loop knot to free the bait. Since the braid has no stretch the action is tighter. I use a 20-30 lb for my walking baits.

Try 17 -20lb Trilene XT Green... I loop the knot or put a split ring on the bait. Never had any issues over grass, in timber or lily pads.

Depends on what kind of topwater we are talking about. For poppers I like 12lb Big Game. For frogs I like 50ish pound braid. Buzz baits 20 XL. Spooks 20 XL also.
