I recently discovered some ponds around my house in north Dallas. So I broke out my ultra light and hard baits to see if i could get any bites.   I've been slaying them on the crank grasshopper. Also iv been catching all sorts of sunfish species like blue gill, green, and pumpkin seed.

Thanks! My buddy and I just realized how much fun it is to catch panfish with the U.L. check this out... green sunfish on a rattle trap

Thanks! My buddy and I just realized how much fun it is to catch panfish with the U.L. It's even more fun catching them on a lightweight Flyrod Nice fish, looks like you having a great time.

Thanks yall, that crick hopper is deadly for lmb also.  That's a fun fish to real in on the ultra light. Lately I've been getting them with a Chartreuse jig.
