its like anything else, depends on the cover. but for an all around light line I would suggest 8# P-Line CX Premium. its a fluoro coated copolymer so its very strong and still limp.

Sunline Finesse FC I highly recommend this line. Top notch!

For me 20# PowerPro braid with 8#-12# Seaguar InvizX leader tied to it with a uni-knot between the spool & 1st eyelet.

I use the sunline finesse in 6lb and 8 lb. 6 for open water, 8 around timber.

I use Invivix 8lb but am really thinking about switching to braid with the flouro leader. DS is prone to line twist and the braid is less effected by that. I usually drag my line if I have been fishing a lot when I head for the ramp to get the twist out, but I'm liking the idea of braid and leader. Improved Albright knot is the way to go on attaching braid and fluro.

15lb power pro braid spro swivel 15lb seaguar fluro
the swivel helps prevent line twist & allows you to tie up rigs at home & store for when you're ready to use. I have them all ready to go & then just need 1 knot to attach the swivel. Leader, hook, weight, everything's ready to go - I keep them in a small bait binder ziplok bag style. Prefer stiffer 15bl fluro as it keeps the leader section straighter than thinner flimsier lighter lb tests. With Fluro being less visible, no need for lighter than 15lb, just a lot less ability to throw it in snaggier areas.

My experience is that a spool of fluoro line on a spinning reel leads to major line twisting, a nightmare. Especially any stronger than six pound. I only use fluoro as a leader on spinning gear.
