Fished early Friday morning and early Saturday morning. Water temp was 71 degrees and a pretty strong south wind 13-18mph.
Found fish real shallow hitting almost anything I threw at them. Best lures were 3 inch Cocomoes and A-Rigs from Moe's tackle. They were also hitting Rattle traps and tail spinners.



2 day total 37 Hybrids with 3 overs the rest were 16-17 inches




Friday only produced 9 Sandbass but today I limited out and all of them were good sized ones.

I got blown off the lake today at 10:15 and as I was pulling away from the boat ramp headed home Rockwall Roy called and said he had hit the mother load and he and his crew were whacking fish. Oh well tomorrow is another day.

All fish were released for another trip of catching. The wind is your friend, and today it helped a great deal.

Great fish champion! Looks to be a great start to summer on Hubbard. Been driving over the lake the past couple days googling at all that water all the while having the kids in the car and not being able to get out. I live thru all you guys posting these days! Awesome job!

Good to see you Gene. We caught a bunch of sandies and hybrids. The hybrids were 17-17.5". We hit a school and it was game on for an hour. We were out fishing deep and a copperhead tried to get in the boat.


We knocedk him off and he kept trying to climb back in. Had to turn on the big motor to get away from him. If the guy fishing in the back didn't watch him swim up he would have been in the boat with us.

Whoa, Roy! You need to have your new boat sprayed with Holy water! Scarry stuff!

1.4' low and we just got hammed with rain. That should do it! It's been a long time since the lake was full. I get lost now because all my old markers are under water now.

There was a huge floater out near terry park ramp yesterday. I was showing a guy were I hit the floater last year and almost hit another one close to the same spot. Be one the look out.
