You cant move the info boxes to the bottom on the Helix units. Here are some quick settings to help get you started

You cannot move the digital readouts or change their sizes. You can turn off the left side readouts in the full screen SI view ONLY by setting SI Readouts in the Sonar menu to OFF. That will give you depth and temp superimposed at the lower left of the screen. Judging by the readouts, your Chart Speed setting should have been 1 for those snapshots. The only improvement you can add is by using the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T transducer. It is longer and has longer SI crystals. Those longer crystals produce a thinner Imaging pulse which produces sharper images. That transducer will not add the 800 kHz capability, but will improve the 455 kHz performance. The Sharpness setting backlights fish to make them more visible, BUT it also makes the overall image grainy looking. You have to choose whether you want sharp overall images or to see fish better. If you notice in Doug's settings list, Sharpness is not mentioned--that means OFF. Additionally Original or Pallet 1 would be a better choice for 2D Sonar than Green. This is with a 455 kHz Imaging model using the HDSI transducer rather than the standard Compact SI that comes with the unit.

Mike, I think something is wrong. I just installed a Helix 5 SI GPS on my boat. It is much much crisper and more detailed than these screen shots. Maybe I have the transducer Wayne is talking about? But my readings are crystal clear and crisp....not blurry like these. Just sayin I think something is wrong with yours. You might try re-setting everything to the default settings first and then work from there. Good Luck. Hope you get it fixed. I'm loving mine.

Looks like your chart speed is set to high. Also the down imaging works best when the boat is moving. If your setting still it will cause brush to look like lines on the screen.
Two things in life you can never have to much of. Money or Fun!
