Shakeyhead deep, wacky rig docks, red works well, and make sure you use fluorocarbon line. Mono reflects the sunlight and fluoro won't. It'll make a big difference in that super clear water. Lots of brush piles out deep as well.

To fish or not to fish is the question

If your staying at or close by to Jacksonville the best tip I have is to load up and trailer to a better lake

The lake has a bunch of little fish in it so fish for little fish. Shakey head and wacky worms around deeper boat docks.

So we actually decided to spend a few days at Tyler state park instead. Any word from over there lately?

Best tip: Shoot every grass carp you see!! Used to be one of my favorite lakes......then they DESTROYED it with carp!

Fishing is not a matter of life or death,
it's much more important than that!
