How many bass do you need to catch in a day of fishing to consider it a GOOD day. And is there a weight of one or 2 that is a must ?

Sometimes a couple on Fork seems OK and 15 on Athens seems a little slow....all relative.

I'm a fisherman not a catcherman, so numbers & poundage mean nothing to me. But still, ANY day on the water is a heck of a lot better than any day at the office.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

I'd say on average if I catch 10 or more bass it's a pretty good day.

Numbers kind of guy here. As long as I can get a few nibbles, I don't care about size. Ofcourse big fish are a bonus but with the water stained like it is now, I will gladly take the small ones.

I guess my ADD kicks in if I am not catching at least 1 every 30 minutes.
7am -- 1pm is 6 hours,,, so I guess I am looking for "12". to me size does not matter.
if it is just small ones that are biting I put the heavy stuff away and go Ultra-Lite, but I got to be getting some bites or I start thinking about other things.
if I get a few early bites, sunrise to 1 hour after then I think I have got to do that all day and it really makes the mid-day slow down hard to bear.

I like numbers....and size. Actually I like numbers of size. Guess I'm shallower than everyone on here. :-)

I'm really good at catching one fish. I couldn't count how many trips I've caught one fish, and they always happen early and on lake arlington.

In the last year I've probably been out to Arlington 50 times. My breakdown of fish catches is the following.

20 times of zero.
25 times of one fish.
5 times of 2 or more. With most fish being 4.

Going to Mexico and catching 100 per day with half of those over 5 lbs. will really spoil you. It sure does make it tough to fish here for 5 bites per day.
