We have finally gotten the rain we desperately needed and more is forecast the next 3 days in a row. And heavy downpours forecasted!! Arrowhead is on the rise as water is pouring in from all creeks and the main river. It was 22% capacity and had us in stage 5 drought conditions for the past year and a half. With more rain we could easily see it full up with a few more 2-5 inch rains as forecasted. I'd guess that we will be above 50% in the next couple of days even if it does not rain any more. Rumor has it it has already came up 4-6 feet and is going to continue to keep rising for the next few days! Maybe we can get back to watering grass and washing our cars whenever we want!! And we live 10 miles from Arrowhead which is an awesome bass lake. Keep risin baby!!

Strait, I won't hmm rain on your parade. WF needs rain really bad. Glad it's happening. I hope it keeps dropping and also fills Nocona. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/tx/nwis/uv/?site_no=07314800&PARAmeter_cd=00062,72020,00054

Not over yet, especially to the West of the metroplex but the practice of washing our cars and watering our grass whenever we want to needs to change or we will be right back where we were before the blessed rains came.

Miller's creek was 8% and 22' low a couple of days ago. It has gained 14' since then and has been a blessing. The Brazos here is a couple of feet from coming out of it's banks. Coming your way PK!
