What company dose the best Charters for Tuna? I am looking in the Port Aransas or Freeport area. I have been watching many videos and been researching trying to learn about Tuna fishing and charter fishing. I have recently purchased all my gear for this trip and looking for a good dependable charter for my first trip. Thanks for any information.

I would like to catch yellow fin tuna. What trip should I go on? 24-56 hours. I have all the tuna gear ready but this will be my first time. Do I need to bring my own jigs and lures because I know they supply hooks and weights. Also what do the people who don't bring gear? What do they use to catch tuna? Thanks.

I have 7 foot 50-100lb class rods. Is that too big for tuna because I read a checklist and they recomend 6 foot rods. 80 pound braid? I am going to try to fish tunas with penn spin fisher V.

How many yards of line do I need to catch me a regular size tuna on a party boat. I think we are going to do 24 hours.

A 'regular size tuna' is usually blackfin around 10#-15#. A full spool of braid on an Ambassaduer 7000 or Penn 500 is plenty for them (300-500 yards).

To catch yellow fin on a headboat you'd probably want to do the longest charter possible if you are launching from Freeport, or call the charter and ask about what length trips produce yellowfin.

Have you thought about a private charter? I don't know of a private sportfish for a 6 pack charter for a decent boat for 36hrs +/- that is over $5,000 launching from any Texas port unless it's a super nice boat. $5,000/6= $833 per person, much more worth it if you ask me. Most likely it will be less than $5k unless you are looking to take a big boat out like the Bluefin or a something over 50'.

$2k + fuel out of Venice, 8 hour trip, catch yellowfin and blackfin. You could drive there, fish, and drive back and spend less time and money

I know a place in Grand Isle Louisiana about 5 hours from Texas you can go there and get as many yellowfin tuna as you want. they can fill 3 freezers in one trip his name is Lance Walker fish commander guide service I watch them go in and out of there every day for two weeks and they never didn't come back with a boat loaded down I'll screenshot the last message he sent
