I am looking to make the plunge into a higher end rod. I know the G. Loomis E6X is $100 cheaper than the Megabass Orochi XX Casting Rods but I am wondering if anyone out there has handled both and can help me decide if the $100 is worth it? I have a buddy that swears by the E6X but I have read many great reviews of the Megabass rods. Not sure which direction to go now that I am in a position to upgrade my line up. Any help would be great appreciated.

I'll have a e6 next week paired with a curado I from tackle trap. They have a deal going now for 305-310 for the combo shipped. Several to chose from.

Been fishing the Megabass Orochis hard for about 2 years. Have yet to have the first issue. I have a bunch of them. They have held up far beyond expectations. Well built, very sensitive to me and very well balanced. I like their actions and performance a lot.
That being said I have been impressed by the few E6X on the racks I have seen. Look great and probably a great series as well.

Tough choice for sure. I am almost certain I am going to go with Megabass. I cant find a negative thing about them when i research reviews. The E6X are sweet but I think most would consider the XX line a step above.
