Just wanting to get some opinions on swimbaits. I'm gonna be going down to fork and was wondering what a good swimbait would be to throw down there. Haven't really thrown a swimbait before. Looking to get a few decent swimbaits that aren't to highly priced for when I go down there. All brands, colors and rigging options are welcomed. Thanks

I would recommend the V&M Thunder Shad Jr. on a Shanes Baits Rig.

I like the Zoom Swimming Super Fluke and the Net Baits BK, or Lake Fork Magic Shad or Boot Tail Magic Shad for reasonably priced swim baits. Just like anything they make something for anyone with money willing to part with it.

I like the 6th Sense hollow body. You can use a weighted hook or jig head. With the jig head you can cut a slit and push it up into the bait to give it some bulk.

Take a look at smash tech baits. Heath is one of the most detail oriented people I've ever met and pours some great swimbaits in different sizes and profiles. I highly reccomend the trespasser and the warden models. Check them out at www.smashtechbaits.com

smashtech +1 really like the felon. But if price is an issue than try a gambler Big EZ swimmer on a Owner Beast 6/0 1/4oz for only $4 for a pack of 5 they are very durable.
