Never been Are the boat lanes I see on a map marked with buoys like they are at Fork ? Do you really need additional apps for your graph to navigate the lake ?

No you don't. I used my HB 1199 and it showed all the lane markers. They are pretty easy to see by your eyes in daylight. Can't tell you about night time fishing, haven't done that but, only been there once. You will have a ball.......good luck pardner!! God Bless (BTW - don't know where your going to launch from but, Fin n' Feather is only $5 and they REALLY go out of their way to welcome TFF members. Say hi to Tom if you go there for me)

Louisana side is better marked. If running on the Texas side and you lose a marker just stop, idle, and look hard for the next one. They are well spaced apart and sometimes they break loose and end up on the bank.

My kids are going the weekend of Memorial Day for 10 days Staying in the Holly Park / Newells fishing world area. They want to borrow Dad's Skeeter and I am trying to prep the graph to show hazards if I need to. They won't runvthe kake but need to travel a little ways since they will be there for 10 days. Lucky me gets to meet them on the weekends when it is crowded.

Not a problem. Take PLENTY of Carolina rig stuff for 3/4 and 1oz weights, small watermellon creature baits, 1 1/2" square bills, frogs and any other favorite top water baits. They ARE biting!! God Bless

I recommend you hire Darold Gleason with South Toledo Bend Guide Service for one day to let him show you where to go and how to navigate the boat lanes. It will be money well spent. I'm sure there are other good guides on Toledo Bend, but I promise you there aren't any that are better. He's VERY good during the summer months when the bass start heading deep to those legendary T-Bend ledges.
