Modify your frog, if you do at all. Ex. Trim legs, adjust hooks, superglue, etc....

I trim the legs then wrap both hooks very tightly with 80lb braid so they don't flex.

I trim the legs so they're about the same length as the frog's body. I also bend the double hooks out just a tad - that seems to increase my number hookups, but also tends to gather more weeds...

Trim the legs and bend the hooks out. After losing a huge bass today on a Spittin' Wa I bought some of these. They are on back order lots of places, had to search a little to find somewhere with some in stock

My ribbit legs get fouled up on the trailer hook. Had to take it off. It was almost every cast one got hung up on it.

This, plus I also bend the hooks up so the hook point is just below the top surface of the frog. For better hook sets.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

My plan is just to use it on popping frogs, in particular the River2Sea Spittin' Wa. I really like some of the color schemes, the bait profile, and how the Spitting Wa moves and throws water. But even with bending the hooks out, the hooks on the Wa are a little too small relative to it's harder than average body.
