My MinnKota was working fine until late afternoon. It has the con/off/mom switch and the momentary part is now continuous. The off and continuous are okay. The momentary stays continuous now. Is there some simple fix that I can do or will I have to take it in to a shop? Someone mentioned adjusting a magnet??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is a Maxxum 70/FC/48-52, so cable I assume.

your wires may have gotten hot and shorted. Take the plate off the bottom of the footpedal and check for any burnt wires. Your toggle switch may have gone out also. Let me know if I can be of any help. My shop is located just north of downtown Dallas and I live in Fort Worth.

Theres also an adjustment I didnt think about. Make sure the magnet inside the foot pedal stomp switch is deep enough so that there is not a constant connection with the cap.
