Hey everyone, new to the forum and basically new to fishing, did quite a bit as a kid, but then stayed too busy with over things as I got older. But does anyone have any tips on locations and bait for preferably catfish bank fishing between Whitesboro and Denison. Open to all kinds of fishing but know so little about the rest. Been reading on the forum for the last couple of weeks and you guys look like an awesome community, and thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot unknown! Now my phones map is saying that's a park on the east side of 377, if that's so does it cost and have gate hours, or do you just park on the shoulder and walk down the bank and if so will anyone hassle me about that. Sorry I'm pretty novice at this, but one final thing is what sort of hours are you suggesting for night fishing?

Juniper point on the east side is a Corp of Engineers run park. I've never been in it but I'm sure it charges a small day use fee to come in and fish. The entrance is closed from 10 pm till 6 am . But you can exit the park at any time. Not sure how they feel about overnight fishermen. You could always pay 15 dollars for a tent camping spot if push came to shove. I'm told it is a good place to catfish.

Juniper point west is a 24/7 boat ramp I believe with some good places to fish off the rocks,Only a charge if you launch from the ramp I believe. There are some guys who post on here about fishing off 377 on the OK. side. There are some dirt roads to get you there. I've checked it out from a boat and it looks pretty sweet. Look at it in google maps in satellite view.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.
