I can pick a fight in any bar in town. I go fishing to relax and have fun. Don't have time for any of that crazy jazz.

Yes you could. You would only be in violation of law under these circumstances.
Sec. 42.13. USE OF LASER POINTERS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly directs a light from a laser pointer at a uniformed safety officer, including a peace officer, security guard, firefighter, emergency medical service worker, or other uniformed municipal, state, or federal officer.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........guess the Game Wardens don't interpret or see the law in the same light.
Thanks for the info. Not something you would use on anyone/everyone, just a method of warning off someone .....it was just a thought

I love working with our Game Wardens, but truth is, most of them aren't too familiar with the Texas Penal Code as most of us other LEO's are. Just like I am not all that familiar with the TPWD Code.

my 'bar drinking days' ended many moons ago. Always remember some youngster who had a few and was feeling his 'oats' ....so, just don't do that any more. But, LOL, don't 'pull any punches either' ..... just triggers God Bless

Ya know, thinking more and more about this laser thing, it would be a LOT better than a distress flag! Doesn't that make a lot more sense?
Seems like this would be a great and inexpensive device to get someone's attention....
