The martins map cd is based off older PDF technology. You can read the map files if you dig down to the root level files and understand how to use Adobe Acrobat reader. It will work on a Mac or PC. I have both and have done it on both.

It's pretty basic.. You can copy the entire CD to the computers hard drive. There's a folder hiarchy and you'll drill down to the actually map files. the map is broken into 3 sections: west, middle, and east. Once you've found the east file you can open it and use the arrow buttons at the top of Acrobat to navigate back n forth ( or in and out ). It's certainly not the same as the CD was designed but it's workable. I've taken screen shots and built my own set of " Fork Milk run spots" and save them to my iPad/ iPhone as picture files. You could also save them as PDFs and open them with iBooks on your iOS device. One more thing I'll re-state.... Martin's Map CD was built on Adobe technology that's over 10 years old. The CD does not work with current Windows OS PCs either because Adobe has updated Acrobat several versions since the original Martins Map CD was produced. As an example... How many of the guides that helped develop that Map are still around? ( I mean no disrespect to any that have past away, but proving my point that although a very cool tool, it's dated ) Here's an example of a pic I have on my iOS iPad & iPhone:

If I have the paper maps is it worth getting the CD? I thought it had pictures of the lake before filling and more details on the blue circled areas

It does have embedded topo pictures of several pre-flood areas before the lake was impounded. It's cool to look at but I don't think I ever caught a fish due to seeing it. Also there are circled areas and fish icons that have a short 1-2 sentence suggestion for lure choice and time of year. If you're brand new to Fork, it's probably a good tool to give you some ideas what to throw and where. If you're a Fork veteran and have fished the lake more than 20 times, then I'd say the CD won't really help you much ( unless you really struggled finding fish ).
Time spent on the water and time spent with a good quality guide would help way more than looking at that CD.a.
