Does anybody know anything about Bryan Lake near Freeport? I've heard good and bad stories about it such as goat fish, but terrible mud. And a rumor that there was some chemical leak that attracts fire ants and if your boat or gear has the chemical on it they'll eat it, pretty far fetched but worth some research. Don't want my gear eaten.

Sort of, absolutely not wade-able, best access by kayak or shallow draft skiff.

I've heard that the mud is so bad that you'll sink past waist deep if you get stuck it it. Long story short, don't try to wade in it.
