Donald I agree it is great a great way to get youth involved but still believe a Saturday would be more appropriate than on the Sabbath.

I vote Sat. also. Every kid should be in church like I had to be every time the doors opened. I don't curse, smoke and drank anymore; or any less either. Ha...

Donald I agree it is great a great way to get youth involved but still believe a Saturday would be more appropriate than on the Sabbath. Thank you for the kind words, and I too agree that our kids need to be in church on a regular basis. It is why we host many church and youth fishing events on Saturday on my private 10 acre lake in my own back yard. The problem with Sat tournaments are two fold: 1) I don't think people realize how hard Monte Reagan works to provide for the fisherman, while he also works 6 days a week. Saturday is our biggest day and he is the manager over my whole operation, plus all his non paid extra jobs he has like the Bass Champs ribeye dinners and tournaments on Fri & Sat; the Sat demo days on multiple lakes throughout the season; the Top 6 Bass Clubs of Texas we put on for free; and our monthly Saturday jam sessions at the store. Monte works harder than any guy out there when it comes to promoting fishing for the youth and the bass club community, and he could really use some help so he could be off on an occasional Sunday himself. We would love some volunteer to help with the kids tournament if you know anyone? 2) If we do move the tournaments to Sat, not only do we need someone else to organize, host the weigh in and be at the tournaments, but we lose over half of our kids because Saturdays are their soccer/T-ball / volleyball/ cub scouts day. In the end, we feel its best to have 25 kids show up on 5 Sundays on the lake and get Montes full attention than to have 5 kids show up on Saturday and wonder if the volunteer that would take his place on Saturday would actually show up. We have worked to hard over 9 years to establish a really good foundation of young fisherman to bail out on them now, but we welcome ANY help and participation you guys could give to help these kids. Thanks and God Bless Jeff

Hey Jeff, Thanks for another fun year. Cody and I had a great time again! Thanks to Monte and his wife Kay. She does alot and does'nt get much credit. She gets up early, helps with signups and takes care of payouts at the end of the day. Thank you all for the hard work. The kids enjoy it! Phil

Your right Phil! She is a big help for sure. I love seeing the kids have a great time. We are looking forward to the championship on Granbury. As far as all our other events I would like to take time and thank the Fun-n-Sun crew and especially Lance Kenny. He gets very little credit but does a lot of the work behind the scenes. Our Elite Fleet also does a great job helping at these events. We all love being apart of the local fishing community. Monte & Kay Reagan

Jeff & Monte I am truly grateful for you guys setting up this tournament trail. Waylan and I really enjoy the camaraderie of this series and all the friends we have made fishing with you guys. I've enjoyed watching my son's love of fishing grow. His first tournament was with you guys when he was 5 yrs old and it has been an absolute blast ever since. Thanks for all you guys do.
