Now that we're heading into summer, I'm wondering if anyone still uses the old Charlie Brewer's "Do-Nothing" jigheads and worms. I think they'd do great in some of our local waters.

Slider worms caught me my first bass when I was a youngster. My uncle took me to a private pond that he fishes almost every day. We were in his johnboat and he told me to throw it across the limb of a lay down. He had me bring it across the limb and just let it fall. I did and it got hammered. First bass of my life was five pounds. He still talks about how big that fish was. I was hooked at that point.

I still use them and they are still effective! You can find Charlie Brewer's instructional video on you tube. It's hilarious because it was shot on the 1980s and it was clear he wasn't versed in how to be in front of a camera but there is a lot of good information there.

Great company--I use several of their jig heads, worms, and grubs. High quality jig heads and hooks (I prefer the pro slider snagless for grass and the pro slider spider ewg for more open water).

I had a small snafu on one bag of plastics (it was the correct color, but slightly different style tail) on an order last year and emailed them. They emailed me back within 24 hours and mailed me the correction and a few sample packs free of charge within a week.

Good to hear. I used to use them a lot, but simply "grew" away from them. Gotta get some slider heads and try again.

Every time I've ordered from their website, I've received more in samples than what I actually ordered. It's awesome. I need to restock on the pro slider snag-less jig heads.

I remember catching 25-30 bass one night in an area no bigger than a car on a slider head. Not sure why I don't throw it anymore.

I have a slider handy any time I'm fishing. My "go to" bait when they won't bite anything else. Slider Spider jigs with black slider or GY 4 inch cut tail or roboworm. If they won't bite a slider they just won't bite. Period.

I've not thrown one in a while because I've been experimenting with new to me baits, but I'm going to start again. It is a numbers bait when other stuff isn't working and they will still hit it when other things are hot too.
