Does anybody know anything about Bryan Lake near Freeport? I've heard good and bad stories about it such as goat fish, but terrible mud. And a rumor that there was some chemical leak that attracts fire ants and if your boat or gear has the chemical on it they'll eat it, pretty far fetched but worth some research. Looking to go out there on my yak, don't want to get eaten.

LOL, I think someone is trying to keep you out of there. As long as the tides are high enough you shouldn't have to worry about the mud. There is a bunch of oyster in Bryan lake and Old Reservoir so keep an eye out for that. It's pretty decent redfish area.

Thanks, I read that story on another forum about Freeport fishing. And it's supposed to say 'great fish' not 'goat fish.'
