Hey Guys,

I've been fly fishing for a few years now, but mostly for trout up in Oklahoma. I've been wanting to fish for carp on the fly for a while now. With all the rain recently I figured now would be a great time to try it out, but I don't have the slightest idea on where to start or what to look for or anything.

I live close to Lewisville Lake in The Colony and I just drove over the small bridge that connects The Colony and Little Elm on 423 and saw how flooded that creek and channel are. Like I said I don't know the first thing about fishing for carp, but to me it looks like a good spot.

Have any of you guys tried it out? Do you have any tips for me? I'd even be open to meeting someone out there to learn a few things.

Thanks guys!

Look for Grassy shallow flats, about 2-3 foot deep
