Yep, I doubt many jet skis will be in Indian.[/quote]

I have seen them up as far as the 922 bridge, but that was one time, normally they stay out of the timber.

Try Squaw Creek, Cooper or Fairfield.

I would say any of the heavily timbered lakes or the small no wake lakes would be good. Some of the higher pay-to-play lakes would also be good. If you can't get to them just go very early and plan to be off the water before the crowd hits. You should be able to get a few hours in before it gets crazy.

Anywhere North of Wolf Island on Ray Roberts will be fine. You could even just launch at Buck Creek and just idle past the bridge then put the trolling motor down and start fishing. Won't ever see anything other than bass boats up there. Also whatever you do, don't launch at the State Park that weekend. Other than that, I would not personally put my boat on ANY lake in the DFW area or most of the NE Texas lakes for that matter.

That sounds like a great idea, of course, you need some medication, because I am sure the guy backing the boat off the trailer will likely yell at you like he yells at his wife.....

North side of lake palestine probably hasn't seen a ski boat in years. I would definitely avoid granbury, they haven't had much water of the past few years and are about to come out in force. It is generally more exciting to pull up a chair at the boat ramps and watch what happens. People that get a boat out twice a year in a packed ramp area can get exciting.

Last year july 4th weekend, at granbury, I got yelled at for passing two boats to use one of the 4 lanes available while they waited in line for 1 lane. Theres always fun to be had at the ramp.

Lake Fork will be crazy!!! The Toyota Bass classic will be on memorial day weekend. We will be following Keith Combs!!! The lake could be very dangerous for many who haven't been here in a while. The lake is at pool level and some trees barely underwater. Be safe.. Enjoy that new boat!!
